��Ħ�� is set up annually for the new sec 1s to have a chance to perform in front of the other chinese orchestra musicians, allowing them to have a feel of performing on "stage" and to let our teachers-ic to give comments to specify what is to be improved of the new sec 1 members.
it was somewhat disappointing for yesterday's ��Ħ�� because many juniors didn't turn up.. anyway, for those who turned up, i'm sure you all have learnt something and felt the nervousness and the loss of confidence though you had it before it was your turn.
that's why, we always hear mr. cheng saying something like.. "although you have practiced 100% confidence during ur sessions, when you go up on stage, you'd have lost it and left only about 50% of it.. therefore, you have to practice way more than 100% confidence, then only you will have enough on stage to perform well :)"
from what ms. leong said yesterday and should be highlighted.. "��Ӧ�ð�����(rhythm)����(pitching)���,����̸������(feelings)����С��(dynamics)..."
anyway, it was stated that there'll be another ��ĥ�� for sec 1s, but this time, seniors will be included too. this event will be scheduled after the exams, and No orchestra songs will be allowed, and performers are expected to pick a song of higher difficulties to perform. enjoy and practice hard!
Temasek Secondary Chinese Orchestra (TMSCO) was established in the 2000.
It expanded from a plucked string ensemble to a full-fledged orchestra in the year 2001.
Under the baton of Mr Cheng Chung Hsien, TMSCO enjoyed a successful flight achieving promising results in the SYF Central Judging between April 2002 to September 2008.
Now having Mr Liu Bin leading this army, TMSCO will definitely continue to strive for excellence and is determined to scale to even greater heights.
The orchestra now consists of over 90 enthusiastic members, with us six professional instructors.
